Pure Opinion...

Although you won't find a truckload of features on this one, what you get is flawless. Although some might find the neck thinner than they are used to, it's still quite easy to play in any position. The Edge III bridge is always in tune and allows you to try those dive bombs and more. The pickups are also pretty good for stock pickups. I'd rate them above average since they deliver a good sustain and clear harmonics.

It is important that I point out that some folks might find the tremolo arm too low for comfort. This means that you might find yourself hitting the volume knob on the up swing. However, that could be easily fixed by just using an allen wrench and making a slight adjustment -- Most guitars will need some slight adjustments before they fit a particular guitarist's preference.
